Day 1
Marina di Scarlino – Golfo di Viticcio – Marciana Marina
Weigh anchor early in the morning towards Marciana Marina, a lovely nineteenth-century town. The beach, really close to the harbour and the shops, is really enjoyable. You can stop at Golfo di Viticcio: surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub, brooms and pines. Its rock and steep coasts are jagged by five little beaches.
Day 2
Marciana Marina – Capraia
Today’s destination is Capraia, a perfect oasis to those who love snorkelling, diving and retired swimming. Pay attention to weather forecast: Capraia is exposed to Libeccio, Sirocco and Mistral: you may moor in the small harbour or use the buoy to have a safe anchorage.
Day 3
Capraia – Centuri – Saint Florent
A 54 miles crossing to reach your next destination is waiting for you: Saint Florent, a small town living in the past, is surrounded by beautiful beaches, inlets and bays, and it is full of life. The bay of Centuri is perfect to take a refreshing bath. The crystal blue sea and the colours of Corse will surprise you. The town is a real architectural jewel, set in the green of the mountains.
Day 4
Saint Florent – Giraglia – Macinaggio
After having consulted the charts, sail towards Macinaggio. Beaches are extremely charming, wonderful sweeps of white sand and rock jagged coasts among inlets and bays. Anchor in Giraglia for a dive! The isle at the far end of Cap Corse, uninhabited and wild, is perfect to have a break.
Day 5
Macinaggio – Fetovaia – Marina di Campo
Come back to Elba and route towards Marina di Campo, with its ancient appearance of fishermen town. If Southern winds blow you may have a safe anchorage. The jetty is not sufficient and mooring could be difficult when Sirocco blows. The crossing is long , so you could need a stop in Fetovaia, a compulsory destination for a dive. The turquoise sea and the white sand will seduce you.
Day 6
Marina di Campo – Marina di Scarlino
It is the last sailing day, you have to return to Marina di Scarlino. Sail slowly and stop in Punta Ala for the last dive, to say goodbye to this sailing holiday in the Tuscan Archipelago.
